This beautiful DIY Thanksgiving table decoration centerpiece is as easy to make as arranging a platter of appetizers, seriously! It’s such a wonderful way to celebrate the festive season with family and friends.
While there are many creative ways to make fall and Thanksgiving centerpieces, this is one of the EASIEST ways to create a DIY Thanksgiving table decoration centerpiece in as little as 10 minutes, with things you already have!
I will share helpful tips and tricks on designing and creating a beautiful Thanksgiving table decoration centerpiece using a simple tray or platter, and a mixture of natural elements you can find easily.

You can use any serving tray or platter you already have as the base of this DIY Thanksgiving table decoration. Below are a few I found on Amazon-
You will also need some natural elements, such leaves, berries, or succulents, a few pinecones, and some Spanish moss (used here) or mixed moss like these. You don’t need to use everything listed here, feel free to improvise with what you have!

Step 1: add the first layers to your DIY Thanksgiving table decoration centerpiece
Line the bottom of the tray or platter with a layer of leaves. Leathery leaves will last longer than soft leaves.
The Spanish moss is optional, but it add such a nice texture and makes it easier to add more layers on top.

Making a beautiful centerpiece is all about harmony and contrast.
In this case, the blue green of the Eucalyptus looks lovely with the yellow green succulents and berries. In cold climates, you can find different color conifers and mix them up. The textures of clusters of little berries form beautiful contrasts next to the thick succulents and large Eucalyptus leaves.
Step 3: final touches
I love the look of bleached pine cones, especially for fall and winter decorating. However, I am sensitive to the smell of bleach. Here’s a tutorial on how to make “bleached pinecones” without using bleach (a super kids friendly craft and decor)! Aren’t they beautiful?
After adding some white and natural pinecones, I added a couple of mini butternut squashes to complete our DIY Thanksgiving table decoration centerpiece. At this time of year, all the little mini pumpkins and squashes are just irresistible!
You can easily carry this centerpiece on and off the table. Feel free to use any large plates or trays you already have in the kitchen. I will share a few DIY table centerpieces with other color variations in a few weeks.
